Podium hog
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! Be safe out there.
ReplyDeleteFirst?
ReplyDeleteAt least I was on the podium this time.
ReplyDeletethrows handlebars at line...misses podium....the greatest meditation on failure since The Impossible Hour
ReplyDeleteIt's a Snob-a-Palooza, or maybe a plethora of Snobbies, today.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed, all these posts and still with the parenting duties!
Just outside the top 5..
ReplyDeleteGlad I saved my Wednesday weed to dull the disappointment.
Off the back of the SCRANUS!
ReplyDeleteHmmmph, so this was why my dog was singing "Flat bottom peds you make the rocking world go round."
ReplyDeleteHe's just so weird sometimes.
Ride safe all.
Bunny-hopping on flat pedals isn't really that hard. Just rotate the pedals so your toes are pointed down-- to lock your body against the handlebars-- and hop.
ReplyDeleteIf I watch that safety video a few more times I'll be able to speak FRED in Korean (?). That video is prime for a Fred makeover a la the many takes on the Hitler Downfall Bunker scene with different subtitles that are on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteWay back near the broom wagon cuz I actually watched the safety video.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have no life.

ReplyDeleteAnd I wouldda podio'd, if it weren't for you meddling flat pedaled kids!

Interesting Lyndsay Buckinham video. I never saw that before.
ReplyDeleteLindsay Buckingham sings that song? He sure liked his makeup back then.

ReplyDeleteI use MKS BM-7 BMX pedals with olde fashionedy toe clips. They gimme everything I need, and you can get them in red anodized too, which is most important.
I got some 1/2 inch red anodized KKT pedals to put on my 3 speed Schwinn Corvette. Maybe next year's FonDon't rig. [\\insert Snobby's >>Just Kidding .jpg>>]

Flat pedals and toe clips. Any shoes you want.
ReplyDeleteI only have one bike with clipless pedals right now. Wow, that just blew my mind.
ReplyDeleteNow if I go through my parts box, that's a completely different story.
I asked the woman in the boathouse for a flat bottom, but she didn't have one.
ReplyDeleteLol, bikesnob can't bunnyhop. Prolly can't olly, either.
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing is a skater Fred. They are called posers.
Flat bottom girls make the rowboat world go round.
ReplyDeleteI want to ride my bicycle. I want to ride my bike. I want to ride.... etc.
Every day is Wednesday at Floyd's of Leadville.
Now I need to return to living the theme of that Lindsey Buckingham music video.
Oh, and, reCAPTCHA just asked me identify all the cars.
"He's got wood"
ReplyDeleteI wood, too.
Anon 4:08pm,
ReplyDeleteWhy would you think I can't bunnyhop? I was bunnyhopping bikes before you were born.
I can ollie too, but I really suck at it.
--Wildcat Etc.
Bonezone, try bolting spd's to your deck and rock clippy shoes when you skate. You'll be "ollying" curbs with the same proficiency as you "bunnyhop" them.
DeleteNo matter how stupid we may feel while riding (falling down clipped in, soaked crotch at work, trigeek pratfalls etc), there will always be riders who look even more stupid. God loves them and looks after them.
ReplyDeleteYou tell him, Snob. "I was in Bagdad when you were in dad's bag."
ReplyDeletedop
ReplyDeletei represent that.
except for the trigeek and at work stuff. mostly the stupid part although i'd have bow to those in your links.
Did Outside hire you just to antagonize mindless consumers?
ReplyDeleteIf so, good on both of you.
Personally, I went from bear trap pedals to bmx style flats and skipped the whole clipless thing altogether.
I would have passed but I was on "vacation".
ReplyDeleteI've been thrown under the bus, but now that I'm outside I start a gig at Outside on Monday.
ReplyDeletePS: Everyone in that place has a sharp knife and has their eyes on someone else's throat, sure hope nothing important ever happens in the world.
I use a flat MKS pedal, which I bought from those rough necks at Rivendell, on my commuter bike. Flat bottom pedals make the cycling world go round.
ReplyDeleteCombover Guy Photo, would the babe on the right be available for a menage a board ride?
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the realm of total weeniedom
ReplyDeleteFor those wishing to bunny hop without clipless pedals, my dog recommends this instructional video.
ReplyDeleteLeroy, your dog is clearly trying to lead us all down the rabbit hole...
DeleteLeroy, tell your dog thanks.now I can't get that tune out of my head.and-a1,and-a2.
