In the meantime I'm kindly nudging you over to today's Bike Forecast, since who doesn't enjoy a sensational news report about how bikes are destroying America?
See you when I see you!

Just think, if Uber brings its electric assist bike share to NYC, then DeBlasio will have to deal with eBikes for the food delivery folks! Because big business is how things get done, unfortunately!
I certainly hope those uber bikes in san fran are tandems. they sure as hell can't expect me to pedal! where's my uber peddler (pedaler?). OK, where is my crank spinner?
Your TA article was majorly trending on my newsy page.Congrats. enjoy the wheelies.
XOXO?
SRAM?
I might say. Well I AM gonna say damnit!
I got back in to cycling the year my youngest was born. Yep the youngest as in no mo kids after that. Well past 3 decades now, nigh on headin for decade 4.
Maybe not the saddle. But maybe there's something to it.
Just sayin'
Kudos,spokey.
Amsterdam is complete chaos.
And the tarmac on the roads is full of pot holes!
And the tailgating - unbelievable.
And those crazy parents with their kids on bicycles.
Thank de Lord Trump is makin' Amerika great again.
Holy smokes!snobbie, that thingy you posted on that birdy site, from skycam9.WTF!
My dog asked me if he was the only one who perceived a subliminal message based on Mr. BSNYC's juxtaposition of a photo of his bike in a lavatory with a photo of a news bloviator and the headline "Wiped Clean."
Of course I have no idea what my dog is talking about.
The functional yet stylish aluminum headgear he sold me filters those pesky perceptions.
Snob- I highly recommend finding some very wide tires with a very low-profile tread pattern for Ol'Piney!
I've tried Schwalbe Pro-Moto (29x2.4) on one of my Karate Monkeys in the past.
Lots of bump absorption, cornering on pavement can be super fun and fast! Just get that air pressure dialed! Singletrack can still be fun, just use less speed and little more finesse for tricky spots.
It's 4 degrees today Minneapolis!
if someone would extend me an olive branch i wouldn't have to loot the deli.
Snob, that IS the way to block a bike lane. Tempted to add a trials bike (and requisite Danny McAskill skills) to your arsenal?
Anonymous 2:52pm,
I think the way to go with Ol' Piney is to stick with a width of +/- 3" but yes, go with a low-profile tread. I think at that width I'd sacrifice very little on trails while feeling a little faster on pavement. I do have some lower profile 29er tires I'll mess around with though.

No, you absolutely shouldn't bike in inclement weather. Noting that the weather is hardly ever inclement.
Mi commentarios son inanes : )
I must confess to pilfering a coke or two during my juvenile delinquent phase. And probably some candy bars, gum, Marlboro’s, if they were within reach, and pretty much anything else I could get my hands on. Fortunately, it came and went quickly. Scranus.
If you want fast minimal tread tires, the 29er world is your oyster...
Because those guys are FAST.
Or their bikes are.
Or something.
FANTA IS NAZI POP!
Hee Haw is correct, so stealing Fanta is a good thing, but it's not enough just to steal it: you also need to make sure everybody knows you stole it and that you aren't financially supporting a Nazi product. So that's why i have no sympathy for the unruly mob: all it would have taken would've been one (1) kid holding up a bottle in front of the security camera and announcing, "fuck nazi pop! My great graddad didn't fight for me to pay good Amerikan money for nazi pop!" And the whole group could've been heroes! Oh well. Kids.
When I got an email from the UC police (as a UC employee) about this planned and permitted protest, I didn't really think twice about it until seeing this:
http://www.sfgate.com/crime/article/Protester-arrested-in-labor-demonstration-at-UC-12545370.php
But despite this headline, this doesn't strike me as having anything to do with labor... just the police beating the crap out of somebody to protect a motorist's belief he/she could illegally drive through a crowd and not have their car scratched.
Thanks very much for reading, ride safe, and cover your answers!
Strange signoff for a guy who doesn't believe in helmets.
