oh yes-- let's buy fancy carbon aerospoke wheels and put "7 or 8" coats of paint on them!
This is probably the most normal bike so far. The only real offense is the painted aero-spokes.
I mean the bike even looks set up for actual track racing (LOOK pedals)!
It might look like it could race track, but I would never use an old steel road bike on a velodrome with turns steeper than 33deg. Road bikes have lower bottom brackets than track frames, so you are more likely to clip the inside pedal at low speeds.
He thought he had a market opportunity, but after dropping $1144.50 plus labor into a bike and only selling it for $860, I would say this market venture is over.
Just goes to show that you can polish a turd all day long, but in the end you are still left with a turd.

This bike got the merciless "beatdown" on the FGG Members Forum a few days back, too. Hideous!
Doesn't painting carbon fiber wheels kind of .... dimish the whole point of the lightweight part? Why would anyone do this? I'm so confused.

Aerospokes are not fancy, they're plastic pieces of crap. worse still - check the Aerospoke website: they're so popular with fixed gear trend-mongers that EVERY 700c wheel they make is out of stock.
I watched this on on ebay. I just had to see it through to the end.

I think this is the first fixed gear I've seen with two Aerospokes. Notice how he took the time to strip the frame down to bare metal, sanded it to "really smooth", put on eight coats of paint, but somewhere along the line couldn't spare twenty minutes to grind off the cable stops and shifter bosses?

I think the term he was looking for, was "nine." I presume the problem occurred because he lost his left ring finger while lubing the chain, and as a result can count to eight or ten, but not to nine. Not without taking his pants off, anyhow.
