BSNYC Friday Fun Quiz!

Good morning.

Now that we've got that out of the way, I'm pleased to present you with a quiz.  As always, study the item, think, and click on your answer.  If you're right well then that's just fantastic, and if you're wrong you'll see a recumbent conversion.

Thanks very much for reading, ride safe this weekend, and thanks very much for reading.

Ride safe this weekend,

1) The Red Hook Crit is also known as:

2) Mario Cipollini is in Brooklyn today to:

3) Of course Jeremy Santucci rides a Cipollini.

--True

4) According to my Newbery Award-winning children's book, why did Jesus put the dinosaurs in charge of the Earth?

5) Complete this popular expression:

"Jumping the _____."

6) What is the "Rock Bar?"

7) Mike Sinyard says that in two years:

I guess they were desperate for comfort.

Afterwards they broke into the pet shop next-door and stole a Bichon Frise to put in that basket.

  3. Cipo is there for the pre-fondu workup ride. Missed it by that much. His secretary translated the dates incorrectly using goigle English to Italian app.

Me not ride safe this weekend. Safe too heavy, wheels too small. Me ride bike. Safely.

  5. First ever in the top ten. And I'm in Australia!

  6. Damn pop quizzes

  7. Are the Pedal Plates compatible with open-toed SPD Sandals? Can I retrofit a SPD cleat to the plate? Gonna need a PDF Data Sheet from the Belgiumish gentleman before I invest.

  8. I can only assume that this extraordinarily early post is because Wildcat had to go pick up Leroy's dog and get to Prospect Park to go ride with Greased Lightning.

  9. Lack of regular quiz administration is reflected in my grade today.

That rock bar weight thingy is funny. I wouldn't buy it. If I feel like adding some weight I just ride down to the market and grab a couple 12-packs. One for each pannier. 18 pounds (8.164662 kilos) of ballast.

Have a good time hanging out with Cipo.

    Scranus.

  10. While I have no desire to build or ride a kluge bent like the one featured I do admire those with the ingenuity to go all in and make it happen. All the enjoyment of the bent experience without the fred prices.

  11. Can anyone tell me where I could find a Bicycle and Hockey shop? Oh! never mind.

  12. Jumping the Lambo of course.

Didn't I read someplace that The Cipo is here to film a Brylcream commercial?

If The Cipo does ride a couple of laps, and a dog is chasing him, will that be a certain dog we know of?

Going to Quizmo's to celebrate failing the quiz.

  13. I notice that the beloved WCL has been replaced with a Walz Cap Bro.

  14. Despite a perfect record of readership this week, I was caught unawares and with my pants down in the presence of The Quiz. Failed it.

I'll be joining Very Slim Pickens at the Quizmo's.

  15. Seems there should have been a bio pace question. And to those who care I have enough bio rings to last till the year 2356, as long as I keep under 8k a year.

  16. Flunked.

The bent looked like a mtn bike crashed just perfectly

    Bikes and Hockey? GO PENS!!!

  17. My dog wishes to note that Cipollini was in Brooklyn a few years ago and now all one sees in the bike lanes are packs of toddlers whose sprinters jump into the broom wagon when the road goes up.

I have no idea what he's talking about.

    As usual.

Ride safe all. Unless, of course, you're riding in Red Hook this evening.

If that's the case, ride however you like, but first borrow Mr. Santucci's bike.

  18. Do thieves even care about security cameras any more? It seems even a hoodie isn't really necessary most of the time, none of them seem to capture enough detail to identify a face.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Andy. I know, right? In an era when a phone can capture near-broadcast quality footage, why are security cameras stuck in the 70s?

Holy crap. I'm stunned. Thought the quiz was gone forever. #cipotime

  21. ...all signs are pointing to the possibility that sir snob has headed the Call to Unction... either that, or he's run away from the five boroughs until all the flammable grease has been cleared out of prospect park.

    ReplyDelete
  22. ...heeded the call.

...though headed the call is also very dangerous

  23. Anyone going to the Cipo fun ride (not to be confused with the "Cipo fun ride" which is an entirely different thing) be careful, the road is likely to look like an Alaskan shoreline after the Exxon Valdez ran aground.

    Snob,
    Thanks for the quiz!

  24. I love how the news anchor aspirates "eXPSensive" for what later turns out to be $500 bikes. What's the going rate for the unwashed masses these days? $149?

Looking forward to Monday's Ride with Cipo post when this blog finally jumps the Lambo.

  25. Google informs me that today is the birthday of the founder of Camembert cheese and Cipo is here too.

Cipo and Cheesy - Coincidence, I don't think so, do the math man.

  26. You just know Cipo will get his tongue stuck on Red Hook clit.
